Storm chasers, get ready: The first severe weather outbreak of 2018 begins Tuesday
The watch area stretches from west of Dodge City and just east of Hill City to just east of Manhattan and Salina. Some sub severe storms could still hang out over areas north of I-70 and closer to the Kansas-Nebraska border, through the early overnight hours. Temperatures from the Midwest to much of the Northeast will be almost 10 to 15 degrees above average.
After enjoying about a little more than a week of lovely spring weather, the Omaha-metro area braced for its first bout of severe weather, projected to roll into the area late Tuesday afternoon.
