Tom Brady is probably going to be back under center for the New England Patriots in 2018.

"My money would be on him playing football for the foreseeable future, but what goes on away from the football field, I don't know", a source was quoted as saying by ESPN.

"He still has two years left, making $14 million [per year], this was the only question that I kind of discussed after the Super Bowl this past year was is Tom Brady going to get a new contract?", Rapoport said. His wife Gisele Bundchen said Brady wasn't having fun and didn't feel appreciated the past few years.

However, a new report from ESPN's Adam Schefter leaves some doubt (if only a little) that Brady will play next season. Brady is even planning normal off-site offseason workouts with his fellow offensive players. This is somewhat surprising to hear, as it was widely expected that Brady will be playing for the Patriots in 2018, as the team chose to trade his potential successor in Jimmy Garoppolo during the season.

Regardless, doubts about Brady's boast that he wants to play until he's 45 have started to creep in. Foles, who beat the Patriots in the Super Bowl in February, is without question the best quarterback on the National Football League trade market. However, Brady and his representation would like to look into a new contract. Now, the only other quarterback on the roster is 32-year-old Brian Hoyer.Back to Foles - shouldn't the Eagles at least make a phone call to the Patriots to gauge interest?Eagles' Carson Wentz speaks: Will he return Week 1?

With two first-round picks, the Patriots could decide to use one of them to take a quarterback. If there was a year where they might strike and grab Brady's replacement, this could be it.
