Brazil superstar Neymar reportedly wants to become the first player to earn £1 million (R16.9 million) a week at Paris Saint-Germain, amid reports linking him with a switch to Real Madrid.

He missed the second-leg defeat by Real Madrid as PSG once again failed to make any real progress in the Champions League, prompting reports that Neymar wanted out.

"Five months have felt like five years [at PSG]", Neymar said."I think there has been too much fouling".

Madrid have already essentially handed their title back to Barcelona with their big guns failing to fire.

And Neymar, flourishing in Ligue 1, could be tempted to return back to Spain.

Reports surfacing in an English publication, The Times, claim the world-record transfer is seeking a staggering £1m (R17m) a week wage in order to reject the advances of LaLiga giants Real Madrid.

It is reported they discussed the former Barcelona star's future and also check in on him as he recovers from his metatarsal injury.

"[Neymar] has always been spectacular, since he was 11 years old", he told El Partidazovia Marca on Thursday night. "He does insane things", Casemiro is quoted as saying by Marca.

"With the quality that he has, I would sign him for sure".

Therefore, Real Madrid president Florentino Perez "cannot relax" and must push forward with his club's interest.

Despite settling in Paris, he's been heavily linked with Real Madrid, and though compatriot Gustavo - who is plying his trade with Marseille - would love him to remain in France, there's always a possibility of a departure.

The Brazilian said that he hoped Neymar would come at the end of the season, hinting that talisman Cristiano Ronaldo would also welcome the move. He can do whatever he wants off the pitch if he continues to do what he does on it.
