Rao had also said that he was in talks with other political leaders to form a platform of "like-minded" parties.

According to TRS sources he wants to outsmart Chandrababu Naidu designs for a, a national front of non-BJP and non-Congress parties once he has snapped ties with the BJP.

"Today afternoon, West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee called me and said that I have taken the right decision and she will be supporting me", Chief Minister Rao said while addressing a huge crowd at his official residence, Pragati Bhavan in Hyderabad.

Maintaining that China developed in less than three decades, KCR asked: What did both Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) do all these years? "Can we expect something new to happen if Congress comes to power after BJP", the Chief Minister said.

Emboldened by the response he has received from several political leaders and from his own party cadres, Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao has chalked out a plan to take his Third Front proposal to the national level by organising meetings in Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata and Bengaluru.

He said, "People are looking for change".

Mamata agreed with Rao's opinion that there is a necessity for qualitative change in the country's politics. "I would reiterate that KCR can definitely play and should play an important role in getting all the non-Congress and the non-BJP parties (together) and that is what he hinted at yesterday". Are we not part of the country? "I am ready to lead the fight against the current political system and would campaign across the country against the Congress and BJP if the need arises". Discussions are going on.

To a question, he said he would not mind leading the movement for the "change". He is my good friend.

"I have nothing against Modi and never used foul language against him as alleged by the BJP leaders".

Telangana is also peeved that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has not responded to the state's plea to increase quota to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and minorities.

The chief minister also said that TRS MPs will raise, in Parliament, pending state-related issues including the Muslim reservation bill and promises made under the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Bill-2014.
