Google adds screenshot-editing tools to its Android app

Google is Making it Easier to Edit Screenshots of its own App on Android

The Google app now allows users to use voice commands such as "what is my ETA" or "when is the next turn" while using Offline Maps for navigating from one place to another. We're now working on bringing Google Pay to all Google products, so whether you're shopping on Chrome or with your Assistant, you'll have a consistent checkout experience using the cards saved to your Google Account. Cards is the entrypoint to your digital wallet, where you can select the payment method to use at checkout.

To use this new feature, users need to first download the beta version of the app, after which they need to activate the feature. Its where all credit and debit cards, loyalty programs, gift cards, and offers are displayed. That means that users who bank with Bank of America in the USA or a Google partner like Mbank in Poland, you can set up Google Pay right from your bank's app without having to even install Google Pay.

While Google has previously said that it plans to integrate Android Pay and Google Wallet offerings into Google Pay, the company's blog post revealed that the Wallet app has been temporarily rebranded as Google Pay Send and it will be receiving an update soon to match its look and feel with the Google Pay ecosystem.

One of the best features in iOS 11 was the addition of new markup features that made it much easier to edit screenshots without having to go find them in the Photos app. This includes inside retail stores and on selected public transit networks in cities such as Kiev, London and Portland.

Longtime Android Pay fans, fear not: the features you love aren't going away. The Google Phone app is a customized version of the Android Open Source Project (AOSP) dialer.

Google launched its latest answer to Apple Pay on Tuesday. The Pay with Google API, which allows easier payment data input, is also bundled into Google Pay.

Until then, Google Wallet, which has been renamed Google Pay Send, will stick around.

Google Pay will join an already crowded market, competing with the likes of Apple Pay/Apple Pay Cash, PayPal, Venmo, Gyft, eWallet, and many more.
