Ian Rush has told Liverpool they must do everything to keep hold of Mohamed Salah

He's already weighed in with a stunning 21 league goals from just 25 games, while netting 28 goals in all competitions including heroics in the Champions League.

"I've always scored goals wherever I've played, but this year I'm doing so a lot more.it's not a surprise for me", Salah said of his prolific form.

Salah will be expecting to feature for Liverpool FC when the Reds return to Premier League action on Sunday with a trip to St Mary's to take on Southampton. I don't have much to say about that.

"Spanish football? I watch some games, especially when it does not collide with a Liverpool game of course, but the matches are of top quality with attractive football".

When asked about the comments, Salah told Marca's Hugo Cerezo: "Why do you think they say these things?"

Salah's first stint in the Premier League began in 2014 when he was signed by Chelsea during the January transfer window, becoming the first Egyptian to sign for the London based club.

"I've loved the club since I was young and knew this was a team I wanted to play for. In any case I want to help the team to win titles or be in a good position in the league".

And Salah has revealed the pair had a chat when the two met at Anfield earlier in the season, with Manchester United earning a 0-0 draw with Liverpool.

Salah is only 25, and has become the main man under Jurgen Klopp following Philippe Coutinho's £142m move to Barcelona. "That is the biggest dream, if I achieve it I will have reached the top".

"In football you never know", he responded.

"I miss him anyway!" He is a relaxed person. I went to Fiorentina, scored goals, then in Rome I played very well and returned to England.
