The Algeria global did not show up for training on Friday after he failed to secure a move to Manchester City on transfer deadline day.

Mahrez faces a £200,000 fine after going AWOL from Leicester again on Friday, missing a fourth consecutive day of training.

Leicester star Mahrez, meanwhile, was left emotionally crushed after the Foxes refused to sell him to Manchester City.

Leicester stood tall and rejected advances from the Premier League leaders totalling around £65million. "Of course, there will be no problem when he comes back with us", said Puel.

Leicester manager Claude Puel admitted in his press conference yesterday that the club will have to deal with the damaging fallout from Manchester City's failed attempt to sign the winger on Wednesday's transfer deadline day.

The Foxes were ready to accept a straight cash deal of £80million for the Algerian insisting the figure was market value for the 26-year-old after Philippe Coutinho's move to Barcelona.

It is not the first time that Mahrez, who played a huge role in inspiring Leicester's remarkable 2015/16 Premier League triumph, has tried to force his way out at the King Power.

"He would have made [Manchester] City better and stronger", Murphy said, "I think with the injuries they've got he'd have gone straight in [to the team]".

'His team-mates wait for Riyad to come back. He can also have a good ambition with us. "I hope he can come back quickly with us, and with a smile and happy to play with us".

"It's a tough situation for us and all of this is a situation we need to manage but all of the details will stay inside the club".

The highly-rated Hoops winger is halfway through his second full season on loan from Manchester City.
