SpaceX Aims to Finally Launch Falcon Heavy Next Week

SpaceX Confirms Date for First Falcon Heavy Launch
Although Musk did not inform about the exact launch time of the Falcon heavy, Space X has planned a three-hour launch window that opens at 1:30 p.m. EST (1830 GMT).
Somewhat sadly, the inherent engineering limits of older versions of Falcon 9 and the imminent introduction of Block 5 mean that SpaceX has less and less of a need to recover flight proven boosters that have no hope of being cost-effectively refurbished and conducting additional flights. The most powerful rocket in history was NASA's Saturn V rocket, which was used for the Apollo moon landings and was retired in the 1970s. The company has also set a backup launch date which will be available the following day. "Easy viewing from the public causeway", Musk tweeted Saturday afternoon.
The 230 feet tall FalconHeavy rocket has a strengthened central core Falcon 9 rocket along with another two Falcon 9 first stages as strap-on boosters. That's been customary ever since a Falcon 9 exploded during a 2016 practice engine firing, destroying both rocket and satellite.
The 70m-tall FalconHeavy is created to put up to a maximum of 64 tonnes in low-Earth orbit, although in reality it will be rare that the vehicle lofts this much mass.
Musk made a decision to put the vehicle on the FalconHeavy mostly out of a sense of whimsy.
The heavy system is created to carry heavier payloads into orbit and eventually take humans to Mars, with reusable vehicles that lower costs.
SpaceX successfully test-fired its first FalconHeavy rocket on Wednesday. The new rocket should be capable of carrying 63,800 kg (almost 141,000 lbs.) to low earth orbit (LEO).
The FalconHeavy roared quite shortly to life for the very first time at the Kennedy Space Center of The National Aeronautics and Space Administration or NASA. The FalconHeavy is regarded as one of the most powerful rockets in the world and it promises to revolutionize space travel over the coming few years. The rocket would give the payload a boost away from Earth which would create enough velocity to deliver the payload into a heliocentric orbit around the sun on a trajectory that takes it as far away as the orbit of Mars. During the first launch, FalconHeavy's engines will be throttled to 92 percent of full power.
The first FalconHeavy mission will even use two refurbished boosters from previous Falcon 9 missions.
The inaugural flight will blast off from Apollo launchpad 39A at the John F Kennedy Space Center (KSC), Meritt Island, Florida.

Tesla in autopilot mode crashes in California
The safety board did note in its report that the introduction of Tesla's Autosteer software had cut collisions by 40 per cent. Consumer Reports has suggested that Tesla change the name for autopilot to something less misleading.
South Africa's ANC debating Zuma's exit, no date agreed
The end to the USA government shutdown implied a shift to risk-on trade, said Rand Merchant Bank currency strategist John Cairns. Zuma could be removed through a motion of no confidence in parliament or by the ANC's National Executive Committee.
