Acer Debuts Stylish Convertible Acer Chromebook Spin 11 at Bett 2018

Acer Announces New Chromebooks And Chromebox Devices

The display comes in a variety of guises ranging from basic TN panels to touchscreen IPS display; resolution sits at 1366 x 768, but on an 11.6in display that resolution should be acceptable. It features a spill-resistant keyboard which can handle 330 ml of liquid, and is compliant with the MIL-STD 810G specs.

Acer Chromebook Spin 11 is a convertible laptop whose screen can be rotated, and it supports touch and stylus input for handwriting and drawing.

Acer's new products were revealed at education technology trade show, BETT, in London this week.

Acer's new standalone Chromebox, meanwhile, is a much more powerful beast, with the option for an eighth-generation Apollo Lake Intel Core processor. "It's 11.6" HD (1366×768) resolution screen is only available in touch screen but given its potential use in tablet mode it's understandable. Acer claims this notebook to have a decent 10 hours of battery life.

The Chromebook 11 C732 is rated from drops up to four feet in height. Other specs include 4 or 8GB of LDDDR4 RAM and 32/64GB of on-board storage.

The Acer Chromebook 11 C732 models, which will start $299.99 for touch models and $279.99 for non-touch models when they go on sale in March in the US, can be configured with Intel Celeron dual-core N3350 processors or Intel Celeron quad-core N3450 processors and 11.6-inch IPS touch-screen or non-touch-screen displays with 1366×768 HD resolution.

Acer is expanding its presence in the Chromebook market with a new two-in-one hybrid.

Acer Announces New Chromebooks And Chromebox Devices

The Acer Chromebook Spin 11 (CP311-1H/CP311-1HN) and Chromebook 11 C732 Series make as few compromises as humanly possible at starting prices of $349 and $300 respectively, although they obviously can't escape the HD screen and low-power sacrifices.

Last but not least is the Acer Chromebox CXI3.

For the more adventurous, the Chromebook Spin 11 is the more exciting (and commensurately more expensive) model with that 360-degree hinge.

Will be sold via our retail channels, available in North America starting in March priced starting at $349USD. The device can cater for up to 8GB of system RAM, and up to 64GB of eMMC storage.

"With solid performance powered by up to 8th Gen Intel Core processors, the Acer Chromebox CXI3 is a great choice for desktop scenarios in computer labs and libraries". Connectivity suite of the device offers a USB 3.1 Type-C port, five USB Type-A ports supporting USB 3.1 and USB 2.0 depending on the variant. Pricing and availability for the CX13 has yet to be announced.

Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.2 are included, with a 4G model tipped to be available later.
