Paddock opened fire on a country music festival on October 1, 2017, from a room in the Mandalay Bay Hotel in Las Vegas, killing 58 people and injuring 546.

"Over the course of the a year ago, Paddock began to buy firearms and Danley believed it was a hobby of his", the report details.

Google search history in an HP laptop showed Paddock researched other large-scale venues, including locations in Boston, Los Angeles and San Diego, the report said.

Authorities have yet to uncover a motive in the Las Vegas massacre almost four months after gunman Stephen Paddock loosed a barrage of bullets at those attending an October country music festival on the Las Vegas strip. He also searched "summer concerts 2017", "open air concert venues" and "biggest open air concert venues in United States of America", according to the report.

"No suicide note or manifesto was found", investigators wrote.

Investigators believe Paddock chose to take his own life when he realized authorities were within close proximity to him, Lombardo said.

Amid their investigation, detectives also learned that Paddock had been in possession of child pornography. The FBI has said it has found "no connection with an worldwide terrorist group".

Authorities have not yet found a motive for the October 2017 Las Vegas massacre but have concluded there is no evidence of any political or ideological radicalization that would explain why Stephen Paddock opened fire on a country music festival from a 32nd floor suite at the Mandalay Bay resort.

Paddock fired more than 1,100 bullets, mostly from two windows, police have said. Paddock, who had checked into two rooms at the Mandalay and spent days bringing in bags of assault rifles and ammunition, shot down into the crowd for more than 10 minutes in what investigators have described as a well-planned attack.

A few shots hit flight fuel stockpiling tanks at adjacent McCarran International Airport that did not detonate.

A report released by Las Vegas cops included shocking pictures showing rifles strewn across the two rooms occupied by Paddock.

According to a report by BBC, Paddock had around 23 weapons with him and he installed cameras inside and outside his suite in order to see whether anyone was coming toward the room, police authorities stated.

The preliminary report includes a timeline of events beginning when Paddock checked into the Ogden hotel in Las Vegas weeks before the shooting and ending with when he was discovered dead with a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.

Danley was in the Philippines at the season of the shooting.

Lombardo says he does not expect charges to be filed against Paddock's girlfriend, Marilou Danley, who had been previously called a person of interest in the case.

During an interview with the Federal Bureau of Investigation after she returned from the Philippines, Danley volunteered that investigators would find her fingerprints on bullets used during the attack because she would sometimes help Paddock load high-volume ammunition magazines, according to Federal Bureau of Investigation warrant documents.

Clark County Sheriff Joe Lombardo said the FBI is investigating an individual of federal interest related to the case. Paddock was observed numerous times gambling at downtown Las Vegas casinos.

"One aspect of the investigation focused on Paddock's financials", the report reads. Over the course of the past year Paddock began to buy firearms and Danley believed it was a hobby of his.

Danley, according to the report, said the couple had stayed at the Mandalay Bay in the beginning of September 2017 in a room overlooking Las Vegas Village venue. "Paddock would move from window to window looking at the site from different angles", she said.

"There was only one person responsible and that was Stephen Paddock", Lombardo said at today's news conference.
