Executive producers Mark Halperin John Heilmann and Mark Mc Kinnon of the Showtime program

"He has been terminated for conduct inconsistent with our values and in violation of our policies", Morgan Stanley said in a statement sent to NBC News.

In two interviews with HuffPost, the woman alleged that Ford engaged in harassment, intimidation, and forcibly grabbed her one evening in Manhattan, leading her to seek aid from a building security guard.

Morgan Stanley has fired former congressman Harold Ford Jr.as a senior adviser to the firm after investigating a claim of inappropriate conduct.

Former US Democratic congressman Harold Ford, Jr. was sacked by Morgan Stanley for inappropriate conduct.

The woman, who declined to be identified, was not a Morgan Stanley employee at the time of the alleged incident but interacted professionally with Ford on a regular basis.

Ford responded to the allegations hours after the report.

See, Morgan Stanley likes to limit its naughty behavior to pumping SNAP and TSLA.

"I have never forcibly grabbed any woman or man in my life", he said, in a statement released by his spokesman, Davidson Goldin.

I support and have tremendous respect for the fearless women now speaking out in this important national dialogue.

She says he continued to ask her out for drinks and only stopped when she asked him to. I will now be bringing legal action against [the woman] who has made these false claims about me as well as Morgan Stanley for improper termination, ' he said. His firing comes as dozens of other powerful men in media, politics and showbiz face an avalanche of sexual harassment allegations. "False claims like this undermine the real silence breakers", he said. Ford served in the House for almost 10 years before deciding to run for the U.S. Senate seat vacated by Republican Bill Frist.

Ford also serves as a paid on-air political analyst for NBC/MSNBC and regularly appears on the MSNBC program "Morning Joe".

Ford left Congress in 2007 and has been a managing director at Morgan Stanley since 2011. MSNBC had no immediate comment on the situation.
