Florida State now has a replacement for coach Jimbo Fisher, hiring Oregon's Willie Taggart on Tuesday afternoon. That leader is Willie Taggert, who has made a decision to come back to the Sunshine State after just one season guiding the Oregon Ducks. You will be the Head Coach responsible for turning around an Oregon Football program that was in desperate need when you arrived. Cristobal's task, now, will be to prep up the Ducks for their Las Vegas Bowl showdown with Boise State on December 16 as OR goes about their coaching search.

At USF, Taggart took the Bulls from a 2-10 record his first season in 2013 to a 10-2 mark last season before he departed for Oregon.

The coaching search is over for Florida State.

The Ducks are putting all their chips on Willie Taggart staying in Eugene as they've tried to lock him up long term. The Bradenton native is respected as an offensive coach and a strong recruiter in the state of Florida, giving Seminoles fans plenty of reasons to be excited about the future after losing a national title-winning coach to the SEC.

And now he's the Seminoles' next head coach. Will he do any different with the garnet and gold? Can Oregon salvage the Class of 2018? Previously, Taggart cultivated a reputation as a program-builder at Western Kentucky (where he was a quarterback in the 1990s) and South Florida. Yet for certain, athletic director Stan Wilcox did his due diligence to hire the best-possible candidate for the job.
