Democrats Should Testify on Trump Dossier, Sen. Susan Collins Says

President Donald Trump expressed his feelings about Obamacare, Hillary Clinton, Democrats, the Fusion GPS dossier, tax cuts and most notably the Mueller investigation in a wide-ranging Sunday morning tweet storm.

But the conservative news publication denies it had any knowledge or connection to the now-infamous dossier of allegations about President Donald Trump and Russian Federation written by ex-British agent Christopher Steele, who was commissioned by Fusion GPS.

The Republican-controlled Congress and the president have twice failed to repeal and replace the ACA, yet Trump has previously claimed it was "virtually dead" - and falsely added that "there's no such thing as Obamacare anymore". On Tuesday, the Washington Post alleged that Elias retained research firm Fusion GPS in April 2016 to continue research into Trump's alleged coordination with Russian Federation; and which later became known as the Steele dossier.

'Never seen such Republican ANGER & UNITY as I have concerning the lack of investigation on Clinton made Fake Dossier (now $12,000,000?) the Uranium to Russian Federation deal, plus 33,000 plus deleted Emails, the Comey fix and so much more, ' Trump began.

Collins said the committee should further question John Podesta and Debbie Wasserman Schultz after the disclosures about the dossier's funding.

On Friday, representatives of The Washington Free Beacon, a conservative website, informed the committee that it first hired Fusion GPS during the 2016 Republican presidential primary to conduct opposition research on Trump and several GOP presidential candidates.

Democrats have downplayed the funding aspect of the dossier, which was funded by an unnamed "never Trump" Republican in the primary and then the Democrats through the general election, as they argue to content of the memo is more important.

'There is so much GUILT by Democrats/Clinton, and now the facts are pouring out. Clinton has said Comey's letter to Congress on the issue tilted the race to Trump.

The president was also reviving allegations that Clinton was part of a quid pro quo in which the Clinton Foundation received donations in exchange for her support as secretary of state for a business deal that gave Russian Federation control over a large share of uranium production in the United States.

The subpoena is part of the committee's investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 election. However, U.S. officials have confirmed certain details.

The committee is probing the 2016 dossier, which was compiled by former British intelligence agent Christopher Steele after being contracted by Washington firm Fusion GPS.

Collins said on CBS' Face the Nation that "it's hard to imagine" that Podesta didn't know about the funding.

CNN reported in January that senior USA intelligence officials briefed then-President Barack Obama and President-elect Trump about the dossier just weeks before Trump's inauguration.

Several of the individuals involved in the uranium scandal are central to the Russian Federation investigation, including former FBI Director James Comey, former Attorney General Loretta Lynch, Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, and special counsel for the Russian Federation investigation Robert Mueller.

Collins said Elias should also be questioned.

The House Intelligence Committee announced Saturday that Fusion GPS, the firm behind the anti-Trump files, has agreed to reveal its financial records.

Congressional sources say Fusion GPS is an opposition-research group for Democrats though it claims to be a "research and strategic intelligence firm". But the State Department has only one seat on the panel that approved the transaction, and the New York Times has reported that Clinton did not participate in the decision.
