President Trump early Monday disputed the account of his phone call with a Gold star widow, who provided a description of the call earlier that morning in an interview.

"It hasn't hit me yet", Ghent said.

Unwilling to put the tussling behind him, President Trump on Saturday jabbed back at the Democratic lawmaker who has slammed him for his words of condolence to a military widow, calling Rep. Frederica Wilson "wacky" and contending she is "killing" her party.

She said that's when Trump told her, "he knew what he signed up for but it hurts anyways".

The president had previously tweeted in defense: 'Democrat Congresswoman totally fabricated what I said to the wife of a soldier who died in action (and I have proof).

Johnson, who is expecting a daughter this January, said she's still waiting for answers regarding the circumstances of her husband's death.

Staff Sgt. Bryan C. Black, 35, of Puyallup, Washington; Staff Sgt. Jeremiah W. Johnson, 39, of Springboro, Ohio; and Staff Sgt. Dustin M. Wright, 29, of Lyons, Georgia, were killed along with Johnson in Niger. Wilson has said she overhead the call on speakerphone.

The deal took place while Clinton was secretary of State, but her campaign and former State Department officials have said she was not involved in the approval process.

He said: 'It stuns me that a member of congress would have listened in on that conversation.

"What she said was 100% correct", Myeshia Johnson said.

La David Johnson was among four who died October 4 in Niger when they were attacked by militants tied to the Islamic State. But Johnson backed up Rep. Wilson's version of events.

"They won't show me a finger, a hand".

'I don't know what's in that box - it could be empty for all I know, ' Myeshia continued. Trump tweeted that Wilson "fabricated" his statement and the fight escalated through the week. Trump wrote on Twitter, referencing one of the Green Berets killed earlier this month in an ambush in Niger.

"The questions that I have that I need answered is I want to know why it took them 48 hours to find my husband", she told Stephanopoulos. "I heard him stumbling on trying to remember my husband's name, and that hurt me the most because if my husband is out here fighting for our country and he risks his life for our country, why can't you remember his name?"
