Beware: Nearly Half of Voters Think Media Fabricate Anti-Trump Stories

Trump's approval holding steady, but more say country headed in wrong direction: poll

A Politico/Morning Consult poll released on Wednesday showed that 46% of Americans believe that media organizations invent stories about Trump, compared to 37% of Americans who did not believe that the media invents stories about the president.

Continuing with his unhidden distaste for the media, President Donald Trump says majority of the stories about his administration are fake and void of evidence.

This might make President Trump feel vindicated.

President Donald Trump believes a new poll showing that almost half of Americans believe the news media is inventing stories about his administration is actually low-balling the issue. Forty-four percent of independent voters think the media fabricates stories about Trump, while 31 percent said they do not.

President Trump regularly accuses much of the USA media of fabricating reports about him, and it appears nearly half of Americans believe that to be true. For Democrats, about 20 percent do believe the media make up stories, but 65 percent do not believe this.

Pres. Trump, who frequently feuds with the media, Tweeted that he thinks the number is "much worse".

On Tuesday afternoon, Trump tweeted again about his thoughts on the "fake news" media.

Moreover, NBC News published a story last week alleging Secretary of State Rex Tillerson's decision to resign. They've gone insane. CNN is a joke.

The President's claims on Wednesday are nothing new. "But the media is absolutely dishonest - and frankly, I've never seen anything quite like it".

The poll, conducted October 12-15, surveyed 1,010 people.
