Google Assistant heads to the Play Store for faster updates

Google Assistant will now support Spotify

As usual, you can easily preview all icon packs in the gallery above. The latter replaces the default feminine voice with one that is deeper.

That's not all that's new, of course.

Google is also introducing Assistant Apps for Families that that comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act in the U.S. - as one would expect, these apps are now limited to the United States. The voice match feature will also be launched in all seven countries where Google Assistant is live at the moment.

Google Assistant now also speaks other kinds of languages, too. Google Play wants to be the streaming service of choice for all Google devices. There is an inclination towards smart assistants among different platforms as Cortana, Siri and Google Assistant all started with female voice assistants. You will be able to do more than just change temperatures on the Nest Learning Thermostat. All by using only your voice.

If none of the two solutions work, then you can try updating your Google Play Store. Starting now, you will also be able to do the same on your Android smartphone. In the Google Play Store Google Assistant isn't actually the app, but the other form of accessing its features. You can still access your Assistant by pressing and holding down your home button or by simply saying, "Ok Google".

Google appears to have killed the Android Wear section of the Google Store with the smartwatches supported by the platform also listed as no longer available.

And in case you want to go a bit deeper into the app, you must know that the app does another important task. Further, Google has been particularly careful with the colors and designs of its new lineup so that they are unified - perhaps it had decided that the LG-made smartwatches just don't fit in? Developers can now submit Assistant apps, aka Google Assistant Actions, which perform payment transactions.
