Corinne Olympios explains her 'victim' comment and opens up about what really happened on 'Bachelor in Paradise'
During her appearance on Good Morning America on Tuesday, the reality star opened up about the controversy that temporary shut down production of the dating show earlier this year. After decided not to rejoin the cast in Paradise, she said, "I have definitely taken my time to deal with everything, heal and I just felt laying low was really the best thing for me to do". I had to go through it, too.
When Olympios was asked about what she wanted to say to Jackson, she expressed her dismay over what he had to go through and offered an apology.
ABC has not provided details about the producers or what motivated them to file their complaints.
Now, Olympios has changed aspects of her life following the scandal.
Of course, the big question on everyone's mind is whether or not Olympios actually believes Jackson acted inappropriately during their brief time together in Paradise.
Regarding the incident, Olympios admitted, "I really don't remember much at all". I was also on some medicine that you're not supposed to drink on, which I didn't know. "The combination of the two was not good".
"I definitely, um, I am weening off that medication".
Corinne elaborated that this medication was something she started taking after her season on The Bachelor, and didn't realize the affects mixing it with alcohol would have.
She said she regretted how things unfolded in the public eye and wishes they could have spoken with each other. It completely imbalances you.
The day after their encounter, Olympios echoed Jackson's description of their interactions, calling them "normal". "I've seen some of the footage, yeah, and obviously I watched the first episode", Olympios explained.
