Mega Millions & Powerball: A $609 million weekend

Powerball Jackpot Hits $286 Million for Aug. 5 Drawing

There were four $1 million winners on Tuesday's drawing - one in Virginia, one in IL and two in NY.

On Saturday, five tickets were sold that matched five numbers but not the Powerball for the $286 million drawing.

The $323 million Mega Millions puts Friday's jackpot in the top 10 list of all-time high jackpots for the game.

The drawings for this weekend's Mega Millions and Powerball add up to more than $600 million. Your odds of winning $1 million - one in 18 million.

Powerball tickets are $2 each and can be played in 44 states, Washington D.C., Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

The combined annuity jackpots would make one person over $653 million richer.

Watch Eyewitness News for the latest winning lottery numbers. The ticket, purchased in New Hyde Park, is worth $1 million and remains unclaimed to date. Mega Millions tickets are $1 each and are available until 10:45 p.m. Tuesday. The jackpot has been rolling since it was won on April 28 in California.
