Samsung Pay now supports PayPal in-store, in-app, and on the web

MobiKwik Partners Samsung Pay For 'One-Tap' Payment Solutions

Today, Samsung announced the newly formed partnership with PayPal, as a payment method on Samsung Pay.

As part of the agreement, PayPal will gain access to Samsung Pay services, which will allow Samsung Pay customers to pay with PayPal inside of their wallets, whilst allow PayPal's merchants to accept Samsung Pay.

Starting in the US, PayPal users will soon be allowed to add their account on Samsung Pay and use it like any other bank to buy stuff at outlets where Samsung Pay is accepted. After that, you can make payments directly through your PayPal wallet.

Samsung is entering into an "extended partnership" with PayPal to bring PayPal support to Samsung Pay. The following year, PayPal was added as a payment method within Samsung Smart TVs. "Additionally, users will continue to benefit from Samsung Pay's unique value-added services, including gift cards, membership and loyalty cards". The new deal will allow Samsung Pay users to add PayPal as a payment method within Samsung Pay, therefore allowing it to be used anywhere Samsung Pay is accepted. What's more, PayPal Braintree support also means that online merchants will also support the payment option.

Customers will be able to use their Samsung Pay to access and use their PayPal wallet, letting them make a payment in millions of stores.

PayPal is focused on delivering seamless mobile commerce experiences and extending this reach through strategic partnerships. In other words, this enables users to register their credit or debit card on the app and then use it at any establishment with a PoS machine.

"The partnership will help provide customers with various mobile payment services", said Rhee In-jong, the chief technology officer of Samsung's Mobile Communication Business.
