But the gender pay gap in the White House stands at 20 percent, CNNreported, with women earning 80 cents to every dollar earned by a man.
As noted by Politico, the salaries of White House staff members were made public on Friday. The median White House female staffer under Trump makes $72,650, while the median salary for men is $115,000.
When calculating the averages, Roll Callomitted the three employees who are taking no salary, including the president's daughter, her husband JaredKushner, and a former Baltimore real estate developer. However, according to new White House salary details released last week, it seems that message isn't necessarily reflected in her father's office. Among the 22 second highest paid employees, who make $179,700, only six are women.
But there are 16 men who are making that top figure at the White House Office, with another who is on detail making even more.
Past reporting indicates the disparity is not new to the Trump White House - though it may be more pronounced.
At $187,100, senior policy adviser Mark House is the top earning White House staffer.
This salary survey comes at a time when nations like Iceland have already initiated the process of ensuring equal pay for men and women.
Ivanka Trump took her plea for equal pay for equal work directly to CEOs at a Tuesday summit at the White House.
