Ubisoft Looks To Be Teasing A New Far Cry Game Shannon Grixti

Far Cry 3 certainly presented arguably the best story of the Far Cry series - and definitely the most memorable villain - so returning to that universe would be very cool.

Ubisoft is up to something, and it has Far Cry fans grasping for straws and trying (and failing) to remain calm. The image shows Vaas leaning over and peering down at us, and Ubisoft asks, "Does that remind you of something?"

With E3 around the corner, we won't be surprised to see Ubisoft announce something soon. Far Cry 3 is one of the most well-liked games in Ubisoft's entire publishing library and was so successful that it also spawned a standalone expansion called Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon.

Far Cry 3 was originally released back in 2012. Primal actually reused the Far Cry 4 map and some players accused Ubisoft of just making a prehistoric reskin of Far Cry 4, also calling the game a Stone Age mod of its predecessor.

Yesterday, we reported that a Facebook post on Ubisoft's account was teasing something relating to Far Cry 3 - possibly a prequel, a sequel or a remaster, we mused.

Hopefully we won't have too long to wait before we find out.

Update: Ubisoft has told Game Informer that this was simply a "throwback post", and that it wasn't meant as a tease.
